My pet is home from surgery...Now what?
* How do I care for the surgical site?
With pets, the biggest concern is licking, chewing, or scratching at the incision. Collars, bandages, or in some cases clothing, can be used to protect the incision. Any further wound care will be explained at your pet’s release from the hospital.
* What about pain management?
Medications to control discomfort after surgery will be provided for use at home. If your pet is in pain despite the medications provided, please call so we can adjust your pet’s medications.
